The village lies in a basin with heavily wooded slopes. Bagneux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Juvigny in the east and the communities of Bieuxy in the south, Épagny in the west and north and Crécy-au-Mont in the north-east, in the canton of Vic-sur-Aisne .
