Ciry-Salsogne is a commune with 930 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (former Region: Picardie ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Soissons and is part of the canton of Fère-en-Tardenois .
geography
The national route 31 ( European route 46 ), which connects the Soissons with Reims , about 11 km east of Soissons, extends in the north to the left bank of the Aisne and the Vesle, which flows into the municipality . The community includes the groups of houses La Glau and Quincampoix as well as L'Apothicaire and the Domaine des Étangs with an amusement park and La Cour Maçonneuse on the strongly meandering Vesle. The community is located on a route along the historic Chaussée Brunehaut and on the disused and partially dismantled railway line from Soissons to Bazoches-sur-Vesles through the Vesle valley. Neighboring municipalities are Condé-sur-Aisne in the north, Chassemy in the east, Vasseny in the south-east, Couvrelles and Serches in the south, Acy in the south-west and Sermoise in the west.

Traces of prehistoric settlement and the remains of a Gallo-Roman villa have been discovered in the municipality.

Attractions
- The Saint-Martin Church , which was rebuilt from 1922 to 1926 after being destroyed in the First World War, with a statue of Christ by Paul Landowski , which served as a model for the statue of Cristo Redentor in Rio de Janeiro . The church was registered as a monument historique in 2007 ( Base Mérimée PA02000067).
