Coyolles is a commune with 344 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (former Region: Picardie ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Soissons and is part of the canton of Villers-Cotterêts and the community association Communauté de communes Retz en Valois .

The municipality on the Automne river , which flows into the Oise , includes parts of the Forêt de Retz domain forest . It is located on the D831 departmental road on the border with the Oise department, around 4 km west-southwest of Villers-Cotterêts . It is crossed by the La Plaine – Hirson railway line . The municipal area is unusually shaped and extends with wide foothills into the area of the neighboring municipalities. In the municipality there are two enclaves of the municipality of Vauciennes , of which Chavres is inhabited, and which belong to the Oise department; Another enclave of the municipality of Ivors is separated from Ivors by the area of Coyolles, but not enclosed by Coyolles.
