Acy is a northern commune with 1,012 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016: Picardie ). Acy belongs to the Arrondissement of Soissons and the Canton of Soissons-2 (until 2015: Canton Braine ). The inhabitants are called Acéens .

The municipality consists of the localities of Acy-le-Bas and Acy-le-Haut as well as Jury , L'Aube , La Croutelle and Le Transbordeur .

geography

Acy is about seven kilometers west-southwest of Soissons city ​​center . The Aisne limits the municipality to the north. Acy is surrounded by the neighboring communities Bucy-le-Long in the north and northwest, Missy-sur-Aisne and Sermoise in the northeast, Ciry-Salsogne in the east and northeast, Serches in the east and southeast, Chacrise and Ambrief in the south, Buzancy in the southwest, Billy-sur-Aisne in the west and Venizel in the northwest. Route nationale 31 runs along the northern edge of the municipality .
