Jouaignes is a commune with 144 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (former Region: Picardie ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Soissons and is part of the canton of Fère-en-Tardenois .

geography

The municipality, to which the districts of Virly (north across the stream), La Petite Cense and Le Château Vert belong, is located on both sides of the Le Murton stream, which drains into the Aisne via the Muze , on the D15 département road around 19 kilometers east-southeast of Soissons . Neighboring municipalities are Cerseuil in the north, Limé in the north-east, Quincy-sous-le-Mont and Tannières in the east, Lhuys in the south-east, Arcy-Sainte-Restitue in the south-west, Cuiry-Housse in the west and Lesges in the north-west.
