Chouy is a French municipality with 370 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (former Region: Picardie ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Soissons , to which it moved from the arrondissement of Château-Thierry with nine other municipalities in 2017 , and is part of the canton of Villers-Cotterêts .
geography
The community is located about 14 km east-southeast of Villers-Cotterêts north of the River Ourcq on the D973 departmental road and extends in the northwest to the Savières river and in the east to the Ru de Pudeval stream. The districts of La Loge Chouy, La Rosette, Lionval, Villers Petit, La Grange, Le Bout du Mont and Le Moulin des Crouttes belong to the municipality. In the south, the railway line from La Ferté-Milon to Bazoches-sur-Vesles , which meets the line from Soissons to Reims , touches the municipality. Neighboring municipalities are Louâtre in the north, Billy-sur-Ourcq and Rozet-Saint-Albin in the east, Neuilly-Saint-Front , Marizy-Saint-Mard and Marizy-Sainte-Geneviève in the south and Noroy-sur-Ourcq , Ancienville and Faverolles in the West.
