Hartennes-et-Taux is about twelve kilometers south-southeast of Soissons . Hartennes-et-Taux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Buzancy in the north, Chacrise in the northeast, Droizy in the east, Launoy in the east and southeast, Grand-Rozoy in the south, Parcy-et-Tigny in the west and Villemontoire in the northwest.
