Morsain is a French municipality with 444 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Soissons and is the capital of the canton of Vic-sur-Aisne . The inhabitants are called Morsainais .

geography

Morsain is twelve kilometers west-northwest of Soissons and about 25 kilometers east-northeast of Compiègne on the small river Ozier . Morsain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Selens in the north, Vézaponin in the east, Tartiers in the south-east, Nouvron-Vingré in the south, Autrêches in the west and south-west and Vassens in the west and north-west.
