Peter Weber (born February 27, 1939 in Leipzig ) is a German architect .

biography

After attending elementary school and completing an apprenticeship as a bricklayer, Weber obtained his university entrance qualification through the second educational path. In the 1960s he studied architecture at the Technical University of Darmstadt . He was then an assistant to Max Bächer .

Weber founded an architecture office in Bremerhaven around 1975 . He became known through his first building, the Columbus Center Bremerhaven , a building complex on the east side of the Old Port . After a competition won by ASAD-Darmstadt, the building owners Neue Heimat and the city commissioned him with this project. The town houses on Deichstrasse in Bremerhaven-Mitte are reminiscent of the Dutch architecture; He was awarded for the planning. He also lived here, later in Bremen. In 2016 he still ran his office in Bremerhaven.

Weber is married.
