The community is located about 17 kilometers southeast of Soissons . Neighboring municipalities are Maast-et-Violaine and Cuiry-Housse in the north, Jouaignes in the northeast, Lhuys in the east, Loupeigne in the southeast, Saponay and Cramaille in the south, Beugneux in the southwest, Launoy in the west and Muret-et-Crouttes in the northwest.

The village itself is crossed by the Ruisseau de Chouy stream , which flows into the Muze , a tributary of the Vesle , on the eastern municipal boundary .
