geography
It is located in the metropolitan area east of Soissons . Neighboring communities are:
- Bucy-le-Long in the northeast,
- Venizel in the southeast,
- Billy-sur-Aisne in the south and
- Soissons in the west.
The northern boundary of the municipality forms a loop of the river Aisne , which has been straightened for navigation by a shortcut canal .
