Aizy-Jouy Town Hall

Aizy-Jouy is a French municipality with 291 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Soissons and the canton of Fère-en-Tardenois (until 2015: canton of Vailly-sur-Aisne ). The inhabitants are called Azyjois (es) .

geography

Aizy-Jouy is about fifteen kilometers east-northeast of Soissons . Aizy-Jouy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chavignon in the north, Pargny-Filain in the north and northeast, Filain in the northeast, Ostel in the east, Vailly-sur-Aisne in the south, Celles-sur-Aisne in the southwest and Sancy-les-Cheminots in the West.

In 1972 the two municipalities of Aizy and Jouy were merged.
