Silly-la-Poterie is a French municipality with 126 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (former Region: Picardie ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Soissons , to which it moved from the arrondissement of Château-Thierry with nine other municipalities in 2017 , and is part of the canton of Villers-Cotterêts .

The municipality located north of the navigable Ourcq, which is canalized to Port aux Perches, around 3 km northeast of La Ferté-Milon and surrounded by the southeastern foothills of the Forêt de Retz domain forest, with the district of Les Hureaux in the south, is accessed via the D17 departmental road. Neighboring municipalities are Oigny-en-Valois in the north and east, Troësnes in the south-east and La Ferté-Milon in the south and west.
