Crouy-sur-Ourcq is a French commune with 1,914 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Meaux and is part of the canton of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre (until 2015: canton of Lizy-sur-Ourcq ). The inhabitants are called Crouyciens .
geography
Crouy-sur-Ourcq is the northernmost commune of the Seine-et-Marne department. It is located about 20 kilometers northeast of Meaux and about 50 kilometers east-northeast of Paris on the Ourcq River , which borders the municipality in the west. Crouy-sur-Ourcq is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Montigny-l'Allier in the north, Coulombs-en-Valois in the east, Vendrest in the south-east, Ocquerre in the south and south-west, May-en-Multien in the south-west, Varinfroy in the west and Neufchelles in the Northwest.
