It belongs to the arrondissement of Meaux and the canton of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre (until 2015: canton Lizy-sur-Ourcq ). The inhabitants are called Marcilliens .

geography

Marcilly is located about 43 kilometers east-northeast of Paris on Thérouanne , which borders the municipality in the northeast. Marcilly is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Douy-la-Ramée in the north, Puisieux in the northeast, Étrépilly in the east, Barcy in the south, Gesvres-le-Chapitre in the west and Forfry in the northwest.
