A Cop and a Half (Original title: Cop & ½ ) is an American action comedy from 1993 .

action

Devon is an eight-year-old boy and has a great desire to become a police officer one day. During a murder crime, the boy is the only witness and in order for him to deliver his testimony he has one condition. Devon wants to work alongside a real cop for a day. The choice at the police station falls on the rough Nick McKenna, who doesn't really have much to do with children. A solidarity develops between the dissimilar duo and both work together to solve the murder case observed by Devon.

Reviews

The film service saw an "action comedy with no tension and no pace, the familiar set pieces varied unimaginatively." However, the young leading actor was praised.

Film critic Roger Ebert also found that the film offers little that is “original”, but he replied that there is “a lot that is entertaining.” Ebert also praised the young actor and gave the film 3 out of a possible 4 stars.
