Bill Butler (cameraman)
Wilmer C. "Bill" Butler (born April 7, 1921 in Cripple Creek , Colorado ) is an American cameraman .
Live and act
His school career included the Ohio Wesleyan and a degree from Iowa State University . He made his début as a cameraman in 1967 with the film Fearless Frank . Since then he has worked on more than 80 productions.
Bill Butler is the father of two daughters.

- In 1976 he was nominated for an Oscar with Haskell Wexler for his work on One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest .
- In 1977 he received a nomination for Best Camera at the British Academy Film Award for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
- He won the Emmy twice: in 1977 for ... who know no mercy and in 1984 for a television adaptation of Endstation Sehnsucht .
- In 2003, Bill Butler received the ASC Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society of Cinematographers .
