Congis-sur-Thérouanne is located about seven kilometers northeast of Meaux and about 50 kilometers northeast of Paris on the River Thérouanne and the Canal de l'Ourcq . The Marne limits the municipality to the south. Congis-sur-Thérouanne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Trocy-en-Multien and Le Plessis-Placy in the north, Lizy-sur-Ourcq in the northeast, Mary-sur-Marne in the east, Isles-les-Meldeuses in the south and southeast, Germigny -l'Évêque in the south and south-west, Varreddes in the west and Étrépilly in the north-west.
