Thieux is located about 28 kilometers northeast of Paris on the Biberonne River . Thieux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Dammartin-en-Goële in the north, Saint-Mard in the northeast, Juilly in the east, Nantouillet in the south and southeast, Saint-Mesmes in the south and southeast, Compans in the south, Le Mesnil-Amelot in the west and Villeneuve -sous-Dammartin in the northwest.

The National Route 2 runs through the municipality .
