Armentières-en-Brie is a French commune with 1,242 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Meaux and is part of the canton of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre (until 2015: canton of Lizy-sur-Ourcq ). The inhabitants are called Armentiérois .

geography

Armentières-en-Brie is about nine kilometers east-northeast of Meaux and about 55 kilometers northeast of Paris on the Marne , which borders the municipality in the south. Armentières-en-Brie is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Isles-les-Meldeuses in the north, Tancrou in the northeast, Jaignes in the east, Changis-sur-Marne in the south and southeast, Montceaux-lès-Meaux in the south, Trilport in the west and southwest as well Germigny-l'Évêque to the west and north-west.
