geography

Bassevelle is located in the Marne valley on the border with the Aisne department . Bassevelle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pavant in the north, Nogent-l'Artaud in the east and northeast, Hondevilliers in the southeast, Sablonnières and Boitron in the south, Orly-sur-Morin in the southwest and Bussières in the west.
