Mary-sur-Marne is a French commune with 1,159 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Meaux and is part of the canton of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre (until 2015: canton of Lizy-sur-Ourcq ). The inhabitants are called Marysiens .
geography
Mary-sur-Marne is located about eleven kilometers northeast of Meaux and about 56 kilometers east-northeast of Paris on the Marne , which borders the municipality in the south. Mary-sur-Marne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lizy-sur-Ourcq in the north and north-west, Ocquerre in the east and north-east, Tancrou in the south and south-east, Isles-les-Meldeuses in the south-west and Congis-sur-Thérouanne in the west.
