Jaignes is a French municipality with 308 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Meaux and is part of the canton of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre (until 2015: canton of Lizy-sur-Ourcq ). The inhabitants are called Jaignaciens .

geography

Jaignes is located about 14 kilometers east-northeast of Meaux and about 58 kilometers east-northeast of Paris on the Marne , which borders the municipality in the west. Jaignes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tancrou in the north, Chamigny in the east, Ussy-sur-Marne in the south, Changis-sur-Marne in the southwest and Armentières-en-Brie in the west.
