Chamigny is located about 20 kilometers east-northeast of Meaux and about 58 kilometers northeast of Paris on the Marne , which borders the community in the east. Chamigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cocherel in the north and northwest, Dhuisy in the north, Sainte-Aulde in the northeast, Luzancy in the east, Reuil-en-Brie in the south and southeast, La Ferté-sous-Jouarre in the south, Ussy-sur-Marne in the southwest, Jaignes in the west and Tancrou in the west and northwest.
