Tancrou is a French municipality with 357 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Meaux and is part of the canton of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre (until 2015: canton of Lizy-sur-Ourcq ). The inhabitants are called Tancrétiens .

geography

Tancrou is about twelve kilometers east-northeast of Meaux and about 52 kilometers east-northeast of Paris on the Marne . Tancrou is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mary-sur-Marne in the north and north-west, Ocquerre in the north, Cocherel in the north-east, Chamigny in the east and south-east, Jaignes in the south, Armentières-en-Brie in the south-west and Isles-les-Meldeuses in the west.
