Trilport is a French municipality with 5033 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Meaux and the canton of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre . Its inhabitants are called Trilportais .
history
The place is first mentioned in 1221, it was under the Bishop of Meaux.
geography
The Marne limits the municipality to the west. Trilport is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Germigny-l'Évêque in the north, Armentières-en-Brie in the northeast, Montceaux-les-Meaux in the southeast, Villemareuil in the south, Fublaines in the southwest, Meaux in the west and Poincy in the west.
The Route nationale 36 runs along the western edge of the municipality.
