Voulangis is a French commune with 1,522 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Meaux and the canton of Serris (until 2015: canton of Crécy-la-Chapelle ). The inhabitants are called Voulangeois .
geography
Voulangis is located about 31 kilometers east of Paris on the Grand Morin River , which forms the northern municipal boundary. Voulangis is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Crécy-la-Chapelle in the north and east, Tigeaux in the south and south-east, Villeneuve-le-Comte in the south and south-west, Villeneuve-le-Comte in the south-west and Villiers-sur-Morin in the west.
The National Route 36 runs through the municipality .
