La Chapelle-en-Serval is on the border with the Val-d'Oise department , at the foothills of the Chantilly forest . La Chapelle-en-Serval is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pontarmé in the north and north-east, Plailly in the east and south-east, Survilliers and Fosses in the south, Luzarches in the west and south-west and Orry-la-Ville in the west and north-west.

The former Route nationale 17 (today's D1017) runs through the municipality . La Chapelle-en-Serval train station is on the Paris – Lille line .
