Verneuil-en-Halatte is a French municipality with 4650 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Senlis and is part of the canton of Creil . The inhabitants are called Vernolia .

Verneuil-en-Halatte is located in the Paris Basin in the Valois countryside on the banks of the Oise River . Verneuil-en-Halatte is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rieux in the north, Brenouille in the north and north-east, Beaurepaire and Fleurines in the east, Senlis in the south-east, Aumont-en-Halatte and Apremont in the south, Creil in the west and south-west and Nogent-sur- Oise and Villers-Saint-Paul to the northwest.

Part of the Creil military airfield is located in the municipality.

In 1705 the castle of Verneuil was destroyed.
