Baron is a French municipality with 760 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016: Picardy ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Senlis and the canton of Nanteuil-le-Haudouin .

Baron is located about 45 kilometers northeast of Paris on the Nonette . Baron is surrounded by the neighboring communities Fresnoy-le-Luat in the north and north-east, Rosières in the east, Versigny in the east and south-east, Montagny-Sainte-Félicité in the south, Montlognon in the south-west, Fontaine-Chaalis in the west, Borest in the west and north-west as well Montépilloy in the northwest.
