Carlo Castellani (born January 15, 1909 in Fibbiana, municipality of Montelupo Fiorentino , (FI) , † August 11, 1944 in Mauthausen ) was an Italian football player .

Career

Carlo Castellani played a total of nine seasons for FC Empoli , mostly in the then second-class and two-part Prima Divisione Nord . Between 1929 and 1930 and from 1934 to 1939 he scored about 61 goals in 145 games for the club, making him the player with the most goals for the Tuscan club. From 1930 to 1932 he played for AS Livorno with which he in 1931 as a second last in the top flight, the Serie A , descent.

Castellani died in the Mauthausen concentration camp in 1944 after being deported by National Socialist troops.
