Carlos Baute
Carlos Roberto Baute Jiménez (born March 8, 1974 in Caracas ) is a Venezuelan singer.
biography
Carlos Baute is the son of the Venezuelan Clara Jiménez and the Spaniard Alfonso Baute. He started appearing in the media when he was thirteen. At that time he was a member of the band Los Chamos . He also worked as a model in Venezuela and Spain .
However, Baute gained greater popularity with his roles in several TV series on both Venezuelan and Spanish television.
On April 1, 2008, Baute released his album De mi puño y letra .
In January 2009, Baute released the duet Colgando en tus manos with the Spanish singer Marta Sánchez , which became a number one hit in Spain and reached the top of the Spanish charts from the beginning of January 2009. It is the second most successful single in Spain to date. This was the fourth time in his career that Baute made it to the top of the charts on the peninsula state. With this song, Baute also managed to find success outside of the Spanish-speaking countries for the first time in his career.
From July 2009 Baute gave concerts in Spain to present his new album De mi puño y letra . He started in the Canary Islands and sang on July 31st in Tenerife . The tour through Spain lasted until the beginning of October.
