Carlos Castaño Panadero
Carlos Castaño Panadero (born May 7, 1979 in Madrid ) is a Spanish track and road cyclist.
Carlos Castaño won on the track at the 2004 World Championships and the Olympic Games in Athens respectively, the bronze medal in the team pursuit. He drove both times with Sergi Escobar , Carlos Torrent and Asier Maeztu . In 2005 he switched to the streets. He signed with the Continental Team Andalucía-Paul Versan . He won two stages of the Burgos Tour and rode in the leadership jersey for the first three days. Castaño has been driving for the Spanish Professional Continental Team Kaiku since 2006 . He celebrated his greatest success at the Tour of Catalonia : He won the fourth stage and rode in the leader's jersey for two days.
At the end of the 2010 season he ended his career as a professional cyclist.
