Carlos David (musician)

Carlos David (* in Villa Las Matas ) is a Dominican Canto writer .

David started singing at the age of three and wrote his first songs when he was ten. In 1980 he began studying acting in Santo Domingo and became a member of the choir of the Ballet Folclórico Nacional , directed by Fradique Lizardo . In addition, he obtained a bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics in 1983. He then joined Bonny Cepeda's orchestra as a chorister, soloist and composer and became known for such titles as Lo que me gusta de te and El Perico . As a member of Dioni Fernández's orchestra , he was successful in 1985 with the songs Cal y Arena and Oye muchacha . In 1986 he made known the songs Dame tu querer , Cobardía , El Humo del Cigarrillo , Yo te amo and Eterna melodía with the Orquesta Liberación .

In 1987 David founded his own orchestra, which was successful with Solo importa tú , Esa mujer , Pa que le coja con otra cosa , Yo no se que me diste de beber and La lagrimita, among others . In 1990 he took part in Bonny Cepeda's project Punto G as a musical co-producer . In 1993 he went to Puerto Rico. There he produced songs by Gisselle Ortiz for the label Combo / Rico / Records (1985) and by Bonny Cepedo for Sony BMG (1985). In Azucar Music Publishing his albums appeared Tu Cintorita (1996) and Carlos David En Otro Son (1997), Sony Music be 1998 merengue album Carlos David .

After a long break, David's CD Carlos David Mundial was released in 2010 . In the same year he appeared with his orchestra on the Dominican television show Del Medio Dia . In 2011 and 2017 he went on concert tours with his orchestra and Cuarteto Bohemio . Singers who have appeared with his compositions include Jailine Cintron , Jessica Cristina , Bonny Cepeda , Williams Marcano , Sergio Vargas and Jossie Esteban .
