Carlos Gerardo Rodríguez (born April 16, 1985 in Culiacán , Sinaloa ) is a Mexican football player who plays in defense or midfield and has been under contract with CF Pachuca throughout his professional career .

Life

As a youth Rodríguez came into the youth department of CF Pachuca, for which he played his first game in the Mexican Primera División on April 4, 2004 in a home game against Atlas Guadalajara , which ended 1-1. His first first division goal was on February 25, 2007 at the Estadio Tres de Marzo , when he scored the 1-0 opening goal for the Tuzos in the game at the Tecos de la UAG , which laid the foundation for the later 4-3 victory .

Rodríguez, who has been under contract exclusively with Pachuca during his entire professional career so far, celebrated two championship titles and four international cup wins with the Tuzos. At national level he won the Clausura 2006 and the Clausura 2007 , at the international level three times the CONCACAF Champions' Cup ( 2007 , 2008 and 2010 ) and once the Copa Sudamericana ( 2006 ).

His only use for the Mexican national team completed Rodríguez on August 22, 2007 in a friendly against Colombia, which was lost 0-1.
