biography

From the little-known dates of his career it is only known that González was under contract with CD Zamora in the 1955/56 season and probably played for Atlas Guadalajara from the 1956/57 season, where he was under contract at least until the 1960/61 season was standing. Between 1962 and 1965 he was demonstrably under contract with Poza Rica FC . Not only was he considered the best player in the history of the Petroleros, but he was also the Segunda División's top scorer three times in a row .

González made his debut in the dress of the Mexican national team in a game played against Chile on March 17, 1956, which was won 2-1. He scored his first two international goals in a World Cup qualifier against Canada on June 30, 1957 , which was won 3-0. With his 1-0 goals in the 5th minute and 3-0 in the 72nd minute, González played a key role in this success. He scored two more international goals in the games against Costa Rica (3: 0) on March 19, 1960 and against the Netherlands (3: 1) on June 26, 1960. His last international appearance was in Mexico's highest international defeat, when " el Tri "on May 10, 1961 defeated the" motherland of football ", England, 8-0.

The highlight of his national team career was his participation in the 1958 World Cup , where he played in the games against Wales (which ended 1-1 and gave the Mexicans their first ever point win at a World Cup) and Hungary (4-0).
