Carlos Gringa (born August 18, 1912 in Montevideo , † October 1984 in Florence , Italy ) was a Uruguayan football player .

The 1.71 meter tall Gringa used on the left wing belonged to the squad of Club Atlético Peñarol at least 1926 and from 1929 to 1931 . There he was in 1929 with his club Uruguayan champions in the Primera División . After his engagement with the Aurinegros , he moved to Italy, where he joined AC Florence from 1932 to 1936 . 98 games in Serie A , in which he scored a total of 23 goals, have been recorded for him at Fiorentina. From 1936 to 1939 he was then in the ranks of the league rivals AS Lucchese Libertas , for whom he played another 31 first division games (three goals) during this time. Before moving to Italy, he is said to have also played for Nacional Montevideo .
