Carlos Jiménez Mabarak
Carlos Jiménez Mabarak (born January 31, 1916 in Tacuba , † June 21, 1994 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican composer.
Life
Jiménez Mabarak was a piano student of Jesús Castillo , then studied at the Conservatory of Santiago de Chile , at the Institute for Higher Musical Studies in Brussels and was a student of Charles van der Borren at the University of Brussels . In Paris he continued his training with René Leibowitz . From 1942 he taught composition at the Conservatory of Mexico City and harmony at the Villahermosa Art School .
Works
He composed two operas ( Misa de seis , 1962 and La Güera , 1982), ten ballets , drama music, three symphonies , a concerto for piano, timpani, xylophone and percussion, chamber music works, piano pieces, choral music and songs .
