Carlos Manuel Oliveiros da Silva , called Vermelinho (born March 9, 1959 in São João da Madeira ), is a former Portuguese football player and football coach .

Career

Vermelinho played almost his entire career at FC Porto . He started at Porto in 1979. By 1986 he won two Portuguese championships , a Portuguese cup and three Portuguese Supercups . He played in the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1984, where Porto lost to Juventus Turin .

Internationally, he was convened twice for Portugal. He was called up for the 1984 European Championship in France , but was not used.
