Carlos Muñoz (actor)
Carlos Muñoz Arosa (born April 3, 1919 in Vigo , † April 15, 2005 in Madrid ) was a Spanish actor .
Life
Muñoz 'career began (after minor roles) during the Spanish Civil War , so that he played his first roles in war films and patriotic dramas, such as Sin novedad en el Alcázar (1940), Escuadrilla (1941), Los últimos de Filipinas (1945) and El santuario no se bark (1949). In addition, one of his first successes was the melodrama Marianela (1940) by Benito Perojo , where he played alongside Mary Carrillo and in Cristina Guzmán alongside his future wife, the actress and singer Marta Santaolalla.
In addition to his career in film, which lasted until the 1990s and, especially since the mid-1960s, included numerous supporting roles in genre films and comedies , Muñoz was repeatedly seen on stage; he has played in pieces by Gregorio Martínez Sierra , Pirandello , Torcuato Luca de Tena , José Zorrilla and Víctor Ruiz Iriarte . He had his most popular role as head of the family in the television series La casa de los Martínez in 1971, which resulted in numerous other engagements in film and television.
