Carlos Wienberg

Carlos Wienberg (born August 26, 1959 in Madrid ) is a German abogado ( lawyer ) in Barcelona .

Life

Carlos Wienberg studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg , where he received his doctorate in 1991 .

After completing his legal clerkship in Berlin in 1988, he joined the law firm Dr. Frühbeck (Madrid) opened a branch in Barcelona. In 1993 he was admitted to the bar in Barcelona. In 1998 he founded the law firm Wienberg Abogados. Carlos Wienberg has specialized in advising German-speaking clients in Spain.

Carlos Wienberg promoted as President of the Circle of German-Speaking Executives in Barcelona from 1998–2002, as its Vice-President since 2016, as President of the Rotary Club de Barcelona Pedralbes from 2008–2009 and as Chairman of the Spanish section of the Spain-Germany Committee of Rotary International relations between Spain and Germany.

In connection with the separatist efforts in Catalonia, Carlos Wienberg, as the initiator of the “ Declaración de Barcelona ”, has spoken out in favor of observance of the rule of law and the unity of Spain.

honors and awards

In 2002 Carlos Wienberg was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for promoting German-Spanish relations .
