Carlton Leach

Carlton Leach (born March 1, 1959 in Canning Town , London ) is a former hooligan and was a well-known person in the English underworld . Today he is a writer .

Life

Carlton Leach grew up as the son of two workers in different areas of London. His father worked as an electrician, while his mother later worked as a bank clerk. At 13, his family settled in East Ham , where he attended grammar school . At the age of 16 he co-founded the hooligan organization Inter City Firm and became one of its most famous members. In the 1990s he worked as a bouncer and bodyguard in various top clubs in London and had his own organization, which is said to have had around 30 employees at its peak. He is said to be involved in the ecstasy tradeto have been entangled. One of his personal friends was Tony Tucker , who was also in the doorman business and who dealt in various drugs. After he was murdered in Rettendon together with two of his confidants, Leach decided to get out of the scene. He initially worked as a debt collector until he published his biography Muscle in 2003. This novel was 2007 as Foot Soldier ( Rise of the Foot Soldier filmed). In 2008 a completely revised and expanded version of his book followed under the film title. In 2015 the film Return of the Footsoldier was released .

Carlton Leach appeared in various hooligan and gangster documentaries. In 2009 a film documentary about his life was also released. Leach lives in Hutton ( Essex ).
