Carmen Guerrero Franco

Carmen Guerrero Franco (born January 9, 1911 - December 11, 1986 ) was a Mexican actress.

Life

Guerrero lived in Los Angeles and began her career in Hollywood with small roles in comedies by Mack Sennett . She got her first leading role in Guillermo Calles ' film Dios y ley . She played in 1930 in Amor audaz of Louis J. Gasnier and Alfonso Pezet Washington on the side of Adolphe Menjou and then received a contract with the studios of Hal Roach two main roles in films from Charley Chase .

For her own film project under the title Peregrina she won the actor Charles Stevens , a grandson of the legendary chief Geronimo , the main roles are played by herself and Carlos Alvarado , other roles are Ligia de Golconda and Raúl Lechuga . After the failure of the project, she appeared in films such as Drácula by George Melford (1931), Mano a mano by Arcady Boytler (as Anita Chávez, 1932) and El compadre Mendoza by Juan Bustillo Oro and Fernando de Fuentes (as Lolita Mendoza, 1934). Eventually she gave up acting as an actress and returned to Mexico. Guerrero was married to actor Glen Coben Smith .
