Carmen Kruger

Carmen Krüger (born June 6, 1966 ) is a German CDU politician . In 2019 she was a short-term member of the Saxon State Parliament in its 6th electoral term.

Career

After attending a polytechnic high school from 1983 to 1985, Krüger learned the trade of a baker at the long-established, family-owned bakery in Bräunig in Ehrenfriedersdorf in the Ore Mountains . In this company she then worked as a baker and later as a saleswoman. After retraining to become a tourist and leisure clerk, Krüger worked from 2006 to 2016 in the tourism office of the city of Ehrenfriedersdorf. Since 2016 she has been an employee of the Landestourismusverband Sachsen e. V.

From 1999 to 2019, Krüger was a city councilor for the CDU parliamentary group in the Ehrenfriedersdorfer city council. Initially independent, she joined the CDU in 2000. Since 2004, Krüger has also been an assessor in the CDU district association Erzgebirgskreis and assessor of the women's union in the Erzgebirgskreis. On August 1, 2019, Krüger replaced the CDU member Sven Liebhauser as a member of the state parliament. Liebhauser was elected Lord Mayor of Döbeln on May 26, 2019 .
