Carol Adams (actress)

Carol Adams (actually Lurline Uller ; born March 15, 1918 in Hollywood , California - † April 9, 2012 in Los Angeles , California) was an American dancer and actress .

Life

At the age of five, Adams was used as an extra in a wedding scene and received dance and acting lessons from that point on. She was cast as Bonnie Broghteyes for the Our Gang films and has appeared in other films. She performed with the “Meglin Kiddies” around 1927 and was part of the “Hollywood Starlets” in 1929. She then continued her career as a dancer and singer at Vaudeville and on numerous stages in California and Nevada.

In 1937 she received a two-year contract with Twentieth Century Fox and was featured in several of the college musical films that were popular at the time. Around 1940 she was one of the most sought-after tap dancers in Hollywood. After a few dramatic roles in routine B productions, she appeared in some sound film recordings of James Roosevelt's songs in 1944 and toured the United States as a member of George White's Scandals.

At the age of 26, Adams married a manufacturing company employee and retired from the stage.
