Carola Wegerle (born March 16, 1964 in Karlsruhe ) is a German actress and author .

Life

She spent her childhood in Karlsruhe . From 1983 to 1986 she studied Indology , Islamic Studies and Ethnology at the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg and at the same time attended the state-recognized Drama School Studio Haller .

After graduation and stage maturity followed seven years of permanent engagement at German city theaters. She played classical and modern leading roles such as Constantia in “ Der Talisman ” (1986), Anne in “Anne Frank” (1987), Colombe in “Colombe” at the Zimmertheater Heidelberg, the Komödie Kassel , the Westfälische Kammerspiele , the Altonaer Theater and the Südostbayerischen Städtebundtheater "(1988), Mascha in" Die Möwe "(1988), Recha in" Nathan der Weise "(1988), Titania in" A Midsummer Night's Dream "(1989) or Helena in" Faust II "(1989).

After 1991 she worked freelance in the theater as well as in television and film productions. These included individual engagements at Theater 44 and the Neue Schaubühne in Munich . She has been on television since 1989, for example as Carola Gottinger in the multi-part Die Hütte am See (1994) directed by Georg Tressler and as Caroline Kirchhoff in “A Public Affair” directed by Rolf Schübel .

She has been working as an author since 2000 and has also written content in the field of educational specialist literature. She conceived and wrote three distance learning courses, consisting of a total of 37 study booklets, and produced 19 CDs and a DVD for the Institute for Learning Systems in Hamburg, the non-fiction book body language (expert, Renningen 2017) and the guide to better focus (Humboldt Hannover, 2013).

Other publications include stories for children, novels and journalistic articles such as the children's book Siris Farben (2010), the youth novel Luisa's Chance (2016) and the non-fiction book Behind the Scenes (2017). Trips to Afghanistan , India , Iran and Yemen sensitized her to different mentalities, differences and similarities of different cultures. Her novel Die Irak-Mission in 2014 emerged from her travels and the intention to shed light on Iraq as a crisis spot from a German perspective .

In 2018 her children's musical onion and bomb was published by Plausus-Theaterverlag . In 2019 Wegerle conducted a lyrical reading of the work “The wings of my heavy heart of Arab poets from the 5th century to today”.
