Theater44
The Theater 44 was a Munich private theater . It was founded in 1959 by Horst A. Reichel and existed for almost 50 years. Many actors known today , u. a. Otto Sander , Heiner Lauterbach , Irmhild Wagner , Martin Sperr , Margarethe von Trotta , Katja Flint , Franjo Marincic , Robinson Reichel , Mascha Gohlke , Angelika Fanai and Dominique Lorenz were on stage here when they were young.
The repertoire consisted primarily of pieces by classical modern and contemporary authors.
Horst A. Reichel closed the Theater44 at the end of May 2009. As at the beginning, the “ Closed Society ” was performed as a farewell production .
