Carolin Schmele (born May 18, 1990 in Oldenburg ) is a German handball player .

She started playing handball with the Minis of Elsflether TB and stayed there until 2004. Then she moved to TV Hude for two years. In 2006 she attended the sports boarding school in Erfurt for a year and played there for the Thuringian HC. From the 2007/08 season, the 1.82 m tall back player ran for VfL Oldenburg . With VfL she won the EHF Challenge Cup in 2008 and the DHB Cup in 2009 . In the summer of 2009 she moved to the French first division team Metz Handball to return to HSG Blomberg-Lippe after two years in the German Bundesliga . During the 2011/12 season, Carolin Schmele switched to the Bundesliga club DJK / MJC Trier for reasons of study . In the 2013/14 season she ran for the Danish first division club Vejen EH . She then signed a contract with Borussia Dortmund . After the 2016/17 season, she left Dortmund. After Schmelle took a break, she was signed by the Bundesliga club HSG Bensheim / Auerbach in November 2017 . There the contract was terminated on January 30, 2019.
