Carolin Steinmetzer-Mann

Carolin Steinmetzer-Mann (born January 21, 1980 in Finsterwalde ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). She was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament from 2004 to 2014 .

Life

She was born on January 21, 1980 in Finsterwalde and graduated from the Sängerstadt-Gymnasium Finsterwalde in 1999. Since October 1999 she has been studying philosophy , political science and modern history at the University of Potsdam .

Carolin Steinmetzer-Mann is married and has two children.

politics

Steinmetzer has been a member of the PDS since 1998 . In 2001 she became a member of the district board of PDS Elbe-Elster . In the 2004 and 2009 state elections, she moved into the Brandenburg state parliament as a directly elected member for the Elbe-Elster I state electoral district . After the state elections in Brandenburg in 2014 , she left the state parliament.

In the 4th electoral term, Steinmetzer was the environmental policy spokeswoman for her parliamentary group and a member of the committee for rural development, environment and consumer protection , as well as a deputy member of the petitions and state youth welfare committee .

In the 5th electoral term she was a full member of the Committee on Infrastructure and Agriculture and spokeswoman for environmental and wastewater policy of the group.
