Carolina Liar are an American-Swedish rock band based in Los Angeles.

Band history

The head of the band is Chad Wolf. The singer-songwriter moved from his home in Charleston , South Carolina to Los Angeles at the age of 22 . There he kept himself afloat with odd jobs and tried to start a music career. Among other things, he also got an internship with the songwriter Diane Warren . A friend then referred him to the Swedish producer Max Martin . He heard a few pieces by Wolf and then brought him to Stockholm, where he recorded the debut album Coming to Terms with five Swedish musicians . The songs on the album are by Wolf himself and almost all of them were written in collaboration with Tobias Karlsson.

In the United States, Carolina Liar became famous when her songs were used in television series such as The Hills , Gossip Girl, and 90210, as well as in television commercials. With the single I'm Not Over they were able to place themselves in the US rock charts for the first time and they reached number 3. The debut album was then placed in the official US charts as well as the second single show Me What I'm Looking For . It was then published in Europe and was also successful there. The single also serves as background music for the new Sat.1 image trailer with the Sat.1 slogan "Color your life".
